Job Description

Joining Eurofins logistics team, this role will be working out of the Feltham site to make collections of food/water samples from customers around the UK, returning them to the laboratory.

Please note this is a full time permanent role working 45 hours per week - Monday to Friday 14:00 - 23:30.

1. Make collections of ambient and chilled food and water samples from customer’s premises throughout the UK to a pre-planned regional route in a timely manner by using a company vehicle with internal chilled units in accordance with company procedures and service levels.
2. Make collections of testing kits from hospitals around the UK, returning them to the laboratory.
3. The driver is responsible for the safe and appropriate handling of the customer’s samples to ensure they are stowed appropriately within the vehicle.
4. Respond positively to route changes that the company feels reasonable for the driver to complete.
5. Ensure all paperwork is completed with a high degree of accuracy, with recording of temperature and time records on a daily record sheet and reporting into the Logistics Management team.
6. Ensure all information is inputted onto the company tablet where required.
7. Keep collection storage rooms clean and tidy at all times.
8. Clean fridges and spillages where required.
9. Ensure bottle stocks are sufficient within the drop offs.
10. Replace and report on faulty probes within fridge units at drop offs.
11. Ensure collections are returned to site safely and securely.
12. To communicate on a regular basis with the other driver, making them aware of any delays to the meeting time or place.
13. The vehicle is to be parked overnight at the normal place of work and any off duty periods unless previously agreed otherwise with the management team.
14. Drivers are responsible for carrying out daily and weekly vehicle checks, oil, water etc and reporting any defects in a timely manner to the logistics manager.
15. Drivers are responsible for reporting accidents and breakdowns.
16. Ensure the vehicle is locked and secure when unattended.
17. Promote the Eurofins image by wearing a clean, neat and tidy uniform as provided, and by ensuring your vehicle is maintained in a clean, tidy and serviceable condition.
18. Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
19. To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard.
20. Drive Company vehicles in a safe and courteous fashion in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Transport and in compliance with the Highway Code.
21. Take all reasonable action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment, goods, fellow employees and other road users.
