Due to increased demand, Pertemps is partnering with Royal Mail to source Collection Drivers to support their busy operations.

Position Details

1. Location: Newport
2. Hours: 2pm start, finish approximately 6pm-7pm
3. Shift: Monday to Friday
4. Hourly Rate: £13.37 per hour (PAYE)

About the Collection Driver Role

You will be responsible for collecting parcels and mail by driving a dedicated route, maintaining high integrity standards, and providing friendly customer service. Additional duties may include sorting mail/parcels within the delivery office. An induction will be provided for Postal Delivery Drivers.

About You

The ideal candidate will be upbeat, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. You should be helpful, approachable, and display a strong sense of community as you meet people on your route. Since Royal Mail delivers in all weather conditions, you should enjoy working outdoors. You are expected to be smartly presented and act professionally and courteously.

Previous Experience

Experience in a customer-facing or delivery role is preferred but not essential. You will need to complete a full DBS security check before starting work.

Driving Licence Requirements

A full UK manual driving licence at your current UK address is required, with a maximum of 6 penalty points. Endorsements such as IN, DD, DR, or CD cannot be accepted.
