Veale Wasbrough Vizards LLP in Bristol is seeking a Collections Cashier to join our Finance team. You’ll be responsible for allocating payments, raising credit notes and monitoring client invoicing to ensure timely cash flow.
Working closely with the wider Finance and legal teams, you’ll need strong numerical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload in a professional services environment. Office-based with some remote days after training.
At VWV, our Finance team helps keep the firm running smoothly behind the scenes. From processing payments to supporting our legal teams, accuracy, teamwork and a helpful approach are all important to what we do.
We're looking for a Collections Cashier to join our friendly Finance team in Bristol. If you enjoy working with numbers, have a good eye for detail and like keeping things organised, this could be a great opportunity to develop your skills and build your career in Finance.
You might already have experience in an accounts or finance role, or perhaps you have a strong educational background and are looking for your first opportunity in the field. Either way, if you're keen to learn and ready to get stuck in, we'd love to hear from you.
You’ll play an important part in making sure client receipts and payments are processed accurately and on time, helping keep our financial records up to date and supporting colleagues across the firm.
You’ll work closely with the wider Finance team and our legal colleagues, so being approachable, organised and happy to help others will go a long way.
Day to day, you’ll:
No two days need to be exactly the same, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing a varied workload, working to deadlines and taking care to get the details right.
You might already have experience working in an accounts or finance team, ideally in a professional services environment. But if you’re starting out and have a strong educational background, good numerical skills and a genuine interest in Finance, we’d be just as happy to hear from you.
We’re looking for someone who has:
A positive, proactive approach, with the confidence to use your initiative and the ability to work well with others.
You don't need to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone who's willing to learn, happy to ask questions and takes pride in doing a job well.
There are so many reasons to stop and explore VWV further. We're known for our friendly and welcoming culture where teamwork and collaboration are key. There's no pigeon-holing or glass ceilings here, just a professional yet relaxed culture where you can finally be yourself. We invite you to watch this short video on the right-hand side to see what our own people have to say about us.
We're striving to be an inclusive employer, to create a workplace and environment that promotes and values diversity, where everyone, regardless of background, can reach their full potential. Contact our recruiter to discuss any adjustments needed so we can make this the best possible candidate experience for you.
This role is based in our Bristol office. During your initial training period, you’ll need to spend time in the office to get to know the team, learn our systems and settle into the role.
Once your training is complete, we expect you to work from the office at least one day a week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to put your numerical skills to good use, learn something new and become part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
