VWV is seeking a friendly, organised Secretary to join the Employment team in Bristol. You’ll support lawyers with daily secretarial tasks, document production, diary management and client-facing duties in a busy, collaborative environment.
This hybrid role involves office time in Bristol, with training in the office and flexible arrangements beyond the probation period. If you enjoy teamwork and precise administration, we’d love to hear from you.
At VWV, our Secretaries are a really important part of our legal teams. You'll help keep things organised, support our lawyers and play an important role in making sure our clients receive a great service.
We're looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Secretary to join our Employment team in Bristol. If you enjoy being part of a busy team, are confident with document production and like being someone your colleagues can rely on, we'd love to hear from you.
You’ll provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to our Employment lawyers, helping them manage their workload and keep things running smoothly.
No two days will be exactly the same. You'll be involved in everything from preparing documents and managing diaries to dealing with calls, emails, meetings and general administration. You'll also have plenty of opportunity to build relationships with colleagues and clients and become a valued part of the team.
Day to day, you’ll:
We're looking for someone with previous secretarial experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment, although this isn't essential.
You’ll be organised, reliable and confident producing accurate work, with good typing and document production skills. Just as importantly, you’ll be approachable, helpful and enjoy working as part of a team.
If you're a law graduate and your aim is to build a career in law, we would encourage you to look out for our Paralegal opportunities as oppose to a Secretary. This role is more focused on secretarial and administrative support rather than legal work and will not open the door to a training contract.
At VWV, we have a truly unique and engaging culture that we hold dear. We work hard, but we also love to have fun — and it's the social interaction between us that really shapes our culture.
This is a hybrid role with the exception of more time in the Bristol office during training with flexibility beyond the probation period. Being present in the office will give you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the team, build strong working relationships, and experience our warm and collaborative environment first-hand.
There are so many reasons to stop and explore VWV further. We're known for our friendly and welcoming culture where teamwork and collaboration are key. There's no pigeon-holing or glass ceilings here, just a professional yet relaxed culture where you can finally be yourself.
At VWV, we're committed to your growth with our bespoke Learning Academy, offering structured career-level programs across core business areas to prepare you for promotion opportunities and career advancement - join us to unlock your full potential.
We're striving to be an inclusive employer of choice, to create a workplace environment that promotes and values diversity, where everyone, regardless of background, can reach their full potential. During the assessment process we've supported a range of reasonable adjustments in the past though we continue to learn and evolve to create the best possible candidate experience for everyone.
Research shows that people from diverse backgrounds sometimes hesitate to apply unless they meet every requirement. At VWV, we believe potential and attitude are just as important as experience so if you're enthusiastic about this role, we'd love to hear from you.
