There is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at our London Central site. We are looking for a Collection & Delivery Manager responsible for leading a team, ensuring health and safety, and managing operational quality, costs, and KPIs.

About the role

As a line manager to delivery and collection drivers, including self-employed owner drivers, as well as warehouse staff, you will optimize efficiency through resource and contingency planning, driving service quality and productivity. Working within tight timescales, you will lead the depot to achieve high customer satisfaction, resolve customer inquiries and complaints swiftly, and ensure safety and performance standards are met.

Attendance

Monday to Friday, 13:00 to 21:00. Flexibility is required to meet operational demands. Optional weekend overtime is available.

About you

We are looking for individuals with a passion for people and the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in an express parcels environment, preferably with unionized workforce experience
  • Experience managing and supporting large teams to meet performance and KPIs
  • Strong communication skills to motivate and engage team members
  • Proven ability to implement improvements and lead change
  • Ability to build effective relationships with team, unions, and stakeholders
  • Experience managing resources and budgets
