Job summary

eStar Truck and Van Ltd is seeking a Collection and Delivery Driver for our Stoke-on-Trent area. You will deliver and collect vehicles (HGVs and vans) safely, plan efficient routes and complete all paperwork with accuracy, while upholding high customer service standards.

The role is based in Stoke, with occasional travel to customer sites, a 40-hour week, and a salary of around £28k–£31k with overtime paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 1 licence (essential).
• Hold a full, current Driver CPC (essential).
• Experience in a similar role and delivering high levels of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver vehicles (HGVs and vans) safely and efficiently.
• Plan routes, check customer instructions and obtain signatures on receipt.
• Inspect vehicles for damages and report defects.
• Keep records and paperwork up to date; ensure load safety.
• Comply with hours regulations and use tachograph as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report faults.
• Adhere to Health and Safety and company policies.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Collection and Delivery Driver to join the team at our Mercedes-Benz dealership located in Stoke! As a Collection and Delivery Driver you will be responsible for the delivery and collection of all vehicles (both HGV's and vans) in a safe, courteous and efficient manner. The role will require you to plan delivery routes efficiently, inspect vehicles at the time of collection and comply with driver hours regulations. We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar role, is committed to providing the highest levels of customer service and will be a shining eStar ambassador when out on the road.,

• Collecting and delivering all vehicles (HGV's and vans) safely, courteously and efficiently to the satisfaction of our customers
• Planning efficient delivery routes and checking customer instructions prior to departure
• Inspection of vehicles at the time of collection and noting any damages on damage report
• Ensuring all vehicle deliveries are authorised and signed for on receipt
• Ensuring vehicle safety and security at all times, and that vehicles are not loaded when collected
• Complying with driver's hours regulations and using tachograph equipment as required
• Completing all relevant driver paperwork as required
• Ensuring vehicles are clean and tidy and report any defects
• Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety Policy and ISO requirements
• Ensuring compliance with all Company Policies, in particular the Company Driving and Company Vehicle Policy Understanding of vehicle layouts for both HGV's and vans
• To hold a relevant current valid driving licence - UK Class 1 licence (essential)
• To hold full current Driver CPC (essential)
• Experience in a similar role
• Enthusiasm to deliver the Mercedes-Benz customer experience
