Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Collateral Management Associate to join its Global Markets Operations team in London. This role focuses on managing margin activity across OTC Derivatives, Repo and Prime Brokerage, delivering a best-in-class client experience.

You will work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment requiring strong problem-solving, detail orientation, and excellent stakeholder management. Collaboration with Front Office and control functions is essential to maintain robust risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Investment Banking/Financial Services with 3-4 years in Collateral Management.
• Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives, Equities, FX and Bonds.
• Understanding of ISDA CSA and margin documentation.
• Experience in a PB environment.
• Excellent Excel skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Equity Prime, FX Prime, OTC and REPO clients.
• Ensure accuracy of margin calls and mitigate credit & market risk while delivering client service.
• Escalate disputes and default situations through proper channels.
• Develop relationships with other support functions and Front Office teams.
• Investigate haircuts and MTM differences to expedite resolution.
• Produce monthly MI using internal systems and Excel.
• Review client queries and respond promptly.
• Maintain procedures and controls to reduce risk.
• Attend client reviews and meetings as required.
