Job summary

Carnival UK seeks a capable Design Engineer to support engineering workstreams across shipbuilding programmes. You will drive assurance of the design to specification, develop compliant drawings and specifications, and assist with classification submissions and approvals.

Working with internal teams, shipyards and brand stakeholders, you will ensure interfaces and decisions are clear, drive progress, and help maintain safety and regulatory compliance across vessels and brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or naval architecture.
• Experience in engineering design within marine or related sectors.
• Experience managing drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Understanding of international standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering solutions that meet project and brand requirements.
• Coordinate design activity across shipbuilding programmes with internal teams and shipyards.
• Support classification and regulatory compliance, ensuring designs align with standards.
• Produce and review engineering documentation, calculations and technical information.
