Job summary

Bradford Council is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the Collaborative Commissioning program team within the People Commissioning Service for Children and Young People. The role focuses on developing and embedding a relational commissioning approach for services that matter to Bradford Children in Care, with responsibilities spanning adult and children's services and public health.

The post is a fixed-term 20-month appointment, offering flexible and hybrid working

Responsibilities

• Develop and embed a collaborative and relational commissioning approach for Bradford Children in Care.
• Implement and embed an enhanced market engagement, cost of care methodology and provider dialogue process.
• Promote shared accountability, transparency and ethical practice in commissioning.
• Identify information flows and requirements to inform commissioning priorities and future service requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate services against outcomes and value for money.
• Support the development of service level agreements and/or service specifications for contracts with suppliers and commissioning team members.
• Contribute to market development and to working groups/project teams as appropriate.
• Keep abreast of policies, procedures, evidence of effectiveness, government guidance and legislation related to adult commissioning and ensure implementation across the department.
