Job description

Overview

This position involves working 40 hours per week, any 5 in 6 days including bank holidays. It is a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Our customers are predominantly elderly and rely on our office teams to take their orders over the phone or via the internet. The goal is to provide excellent service while continuously improving efficiency.

The cold store operates at -20°C. Protective clothing will be provided, along with breaks to warm up and have hot drinks when needed.

Reporting to the Driver Supervisor and Senior Freezer Operative, you will help pack frozen orders accurately and promptly for dispatch.

Pay is £12.60 per hour plus bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure late incoming customer orders are accurately picked and placed in the correct cage for the next day.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.
• Pick orders with zero mistakes.
• Improve and implement efficiencies.
• Assist the office team as needed.
• Report health and safety issues, stock quality problems, and mechanical faults.
