Role Overview:
You will be the head of your extended family within your team, expected to be approachable, organized, and motivational. Leading by example will be key to ensuring your colleagues demonstrate attention to detail and respect for their roles, producing high-quality products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Share your passion and knowledge: Help your team learn about our products and how to produce them daily—aiming for right first time—and pursue ongoing training as recommended by your line manager.
- Maximize productivity: Prioritize and allocate daily tasks efficiently to your team.
- Manage work levels: Ensure productivity targets are met while maintaining high quality standards.
- Monitor stock levels: Check stock throughout the day to ensure replenishment and product availability for customers.
- Adjust to sales trends: Be aware of sales performance and adapt production accordingly to meet customer demand.
- Collaborate effectively: Work with other Catering teams, sharing best practices and being flexible to incorporate new ideas or activities as needed.
- Support stock control: Value and guide your stock controller in ordering and stock movements.
- Maintain communication: Keep clear lines of communication within your team and with other departments to ensure awareness of product movement.
- Ensure food safety and cleanliness: Work with your team to keep the Cold Preparation Kitchen area clean and well-maintained, adhering to food safety guidelines and maintaining equipment daily.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ability to lead a team effectively and positively influence morale and work ethics.
- Excellent communication skills and respectfulness towards colleagues.
- Good understanding of electronic systems.
- Experience in leading a team within a catering environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of HACCP and experience with accurate record-keeping.
