Job description

Cold End Engineering Supervisor

Barnsley Plant

Role Description

Carry out repair and maintenance on cold end equipment, contribute to efficient job changes, liaise with the cold end engineering manager daily, and react to any cold end issues that may arise throughout the day.

Responsibilities

1. Liaise with the cold end engineering manager daily and react to cold end issues.
2. Attend weekly TPM meetings to reduce cold end downtime.
3. Lead morning meetings to ensure the change team engineers are aware of daily expectations and job changes.
4. Prepare cold end equipment for the next job change, ensuring it meets specifications.
5. Participate in job changes, setting up and adjusting equipment to maintain efficient operations.
6. Identify and rectify cold end faults to reduce downtime.
7. Modify and adjust equipment to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
8. Complete job change sheets for accurate documentation.
9. Communicate effectively with team members to maintain an informed and effective team.
10. Ensure health and safety practices and risk assessments are followed.

Required Skills / Qualifications

• Experienced Apprentice Trained Electrical Engineer
• Knowledge of relevant computer systems
• Experience with cold end equipment faults
• Understanding of engineering drawings
• Experience with job change planning and continuous improvements
• Ability to manage a team and report to the Cold End Engineering Manager
