Qualifications

  • Understanding of engineering drawings is necessary.

Job Description:
Cold End Engineering Supervisor
Barnsley Plant

Carry out repair and maintenance on cold end equipment and contribute to efficient job changesandliaise with the cold end engineering manager daily and react to any cold end issues that may arise throughout the day.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the cold end engineering manager daily and react to any cold end issues that may arise throughout the day
  • Attend weekly TPM meeting to reduce cold end down time
  • Carry out and lead morning meeting to ensure the change team engineers know what is expected of them from day to day/job change to job change.
  • Prepare cold end equipment ready for the next job change in order to ensure that equipment meets specifications for the new job.
  • Take part in job changes, setting up and adjusting cold end equipment as necessary in order to maintain efficient operations during and after the job change.
  • Identify and rectify cold end faults in order to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Modify and adjust cold end equipment as necessary in order to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime.
  • Complete job change sheets in order to provide an accurate reference point.
  • Communicate effectively with employees in order to maintain an effective well-informed team.
  • Ensure that all health and safety practices are adhered to and the risk assessments are followed

Competitive salary based on Grade 10 of the harmonised pay scales; Salary min £39,000 - £46,621 max.

Monday to Friday working with condensed hours where appropriate.
