Colchester United Community Foundation (CUCF) has an exciting opportunity available!

Are you a talented and committed GK Coach interested in supporting the Colchester United Community Foundation Women’s Team?

If you have experience and/or passion for the female game and work in senior women’s football, this is an excellent opportunity for you!

This role offers a chance for a highly motivated, ambitious football coach to join our Women’s Coaching Team and become a key figure in our women’s pathway.

Responsibilities include working closely with the Women’s Team Committee, Head Coach, and coaching staff, planning and delivering GK training sessions, managing players, supporting recruitment, and matchdays. Contributions to matchday programmes, fan engagement, and club events may also be required.

This position is vital within the Women’s & Girl’s pathway. You will need tenacity and creativity to overcome challenges and contribute to our positive community impact. Leadership, inspiration, and motivation are essential qualities for this role.

Availability:

  • Training: Wednesday at Community and Sports Centre, Colchester (CO2 9BG).
  • Matchdays: Sundays (2 pm KO) at Home Garrison, Colchester (CO2 7SZ), and away matches across Eastern Region Division 1.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • FA Introduction to Coaching Award
  • Background in GK Coaching/Playing
  • FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)
  • FA Safeguarding Children
  • Willingness to complete a CUFC Enhanced DBS Check
  • Full Clean UK Driving License
  • Experience coaching in the senior women’s game and understanding female athletes’ needs

Additional Qualifications:

  • UEFA C Coaching Award (or enrolled)
  • FA National GK Coaching Award (or enrolled/expressed interest)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop: Build positive relationships with colleagues, players, supporters, and volunteers on and off the pitch.
  • Deliver: Provide high-quality coaching and matchday experiences for GK players.
  • Support: Assist with recruitment, development, and engagement of GK players, promoting inclusivity and team culture.
  • Collaborate: Work with colleagues and stakeholders to develop the team and individual potential.
  • Evaluate: Monitor player development through ILPs and showcase team successes.
