Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a psychological professional (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist) to join our newly commissioned Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Pathway in North Lincolnshire. You will be working in an integrated way to deliver trauma informed care within the community, promoting recovery and inclusion. You will work alongside a senior psychologist, consultant OT and Psychiatrists, as well as a peer support worker, employment specialist, OTs, mental health nurses and local authority colleagues supporting rehabilitation and housing.


The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and high quality evidence based interventions. You will help to shape the psychological support within the new service alongside the senior psychologist.


This post also offers the opportunity of joining a growing team of supportive, compassionate and value-driven Psychological Professions across North Lincolnshire. Further training can be provided to support you to develop skills working with a mental health rehabilitation population. We also have a mandatory half day per month protected time for training and CPD.


Responsibilities
  • To work as an autonomous clinician as part of the multidisciplinary team providing specialist psychological assessments, formulation, and interventions to support adults with their personal recovery and rehabilitation goals.
  • To formulate a range of intervention options based on an appropriate conceptual framework, drawing on a wide range of models and techniques.
  • To act as a clinical expert in the field of your professional qualification, providing consultation and education to colleagues within the pathways and partner agencies.
  • To work flexibly and assertively to engage people in psychological support, at times in people's homes.
  • To support clinical leadership in the development of psychological therapy pathways to support service development.
  • To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account risk factors and management where appropriate.
  • To work in conjunction with multi-agency policies and procedures, adhering to training requirements for the locality mental health teams.
  • To develop evaluations in relation to clinical interventions with service users, carers and staff using focus groups to further develop clinical.
