An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person with a passion for caring for older people to join Cedar's Ward as a deputy ward manager. The role is a full time post and will involve delivering all aspects of patient care, undertaking the responsibilities of a deputy ward manager and supporting the Ward Manager in managing the care and treatment of patients and providing managerial support and leadership to junior staff. The post holder will also deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence and ensure that high quality care is carried out in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and NMC guidance.
Cedar's ward is a 10 bedded unit caring for male older people with organic illnesses, based at Parklands house, Royal Oldham hospital.
The post holder will be a qualified RMN, expected to undertake all aspects of the role identified in the job description and meet the requirements of the person specification. The role will be to deliver all aspects of care to the patient group on the ward and to undertake the responsibilities required of a qualified nurse.

To support the Ward Manager in managing the care and treatment of older people on the inpatient unit and provide managerial support and leadership to a group of staff. You will deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence and ensure that the highest quality care is carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
