Job summary

Birkbeck University London is seeking an Associate Lecturer to deliver the Introduction to Cognition module (Level 4) for the Spring term. You will teach on Tuesdays 2-5pm or 6-9pm, and manage related course administration and assessment duties.

The role requires a degree in Psychology, and either a PhD in Psychology or related area, with experience teaching adult HE students. Proficiency in Moodle, Teams, Word and Excel is desirable.

Qualifications

• A degree in Psychology.
• Pursuing or completed a PhD in Psychology or related area.
• Relevant teaching experience with adult HE students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, e-mail, Moodle and Teams.
• Able to work well in a team or independently.
• Willing to engage in reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching for the Introduction to Cognition module.
• Undertake course administration and assessment duties.
• Prepare lectures and materials for the module.
• Collaborate with the module convenor to organise, deliver and assess the module.
