Job description

Coffee Shop Manager - Redemption Roasters Bloomsbury

Are you a natural leader who’s passionate about hospitality and ready to make a difference?

At Redemption Roasters, we believe great coffee can change lives. Our mission is to reduce reoffending by training people in prison and supporting them into work on release – often in our own cafés.

We’re looking for a full-time Coffee Shop Manager to lead our Bloomsbury team.

As Coffee Shop Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind your café’s success – leading your team, delivering operational excellence, and playing a major role in our mission every day.

You Will:
  • Lead by example on the floor, creating an environment that delivers warm, personal hospitality and excellent coffee and food, every time.
  • Build and coach a high-performing team through clear expectations, regular 1:1s, and consistent development opportunities.
  • Drive your café’s success through smart scheduling, efficient operations, and a constant focus on sales and performance.
  • Maintain high standards in product quality, cleanliness, and presentation through daily coaching and hands-on support.
  • Manage rotas, stock, safety, and compliance systems with discipline and care, ensuring a well-run and organised shop.
  • Champion our mission by mentoring team members, supporting programme participants, and communicating our social impact with clarity and purpose.
  • Collaborate with your GM and the wider team to develop your café’s presence in the community and build a loyal guest base.
You Have:
  • Minimum 2 years of café or restaurant management experience.
  • Right to work full-time in the UK.
  • Weekend availability.
You Are:
  • An experienced hospitality leader who knows how to energise a team and drive high performance.
  • Hands-on and proactive – you’re not above the mop or the till, and you stay connected to the details that make a difference.
  • Commercially savvy – you understand the link between efficiency, sales, and impact, and you lead with that in mind.
  • Passionate about quality – whether it’s coffee, cleanliness, or communication, you take pride in doing things well.
  • Calm under pressure, quick to solve problems, and always ready to roll up your sleeves.
  • Values and mission-aligned – you lead with purpose.
We Will:
  • Support your growth with clear expectations, training and development, and regular check-ins.
  • Offer you the chance to lead a café that’s doing things differently – where quality and impact go hand in hand.
