Job summary

Orchard Professional Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Coded Welder for a permanent, Monday–Friday days role in HU12, East Yorkshire. You will weld and fabricate steel components for modular and anti-vandal buildings, following engineering drawings and strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Coded welding qualification essential.
• Strong MIG/MAG welding experience.
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience welding structural steel/components.
• Good understanding of weld quality and tolerances.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious and reliable.
• Experience in modular, construction or anti-vandal manufacturing advantageous.

Responsibilities

• MIG/MAG welding of steel components and structures.
• Welding modular and anti-vandal building components.
• Working from engineering drawings and welding specifications.
• Fabrication, preparation and assembly of steelwork.
• Producing clean, accurate and consistent welds.
• Working to coded welding procedures and quality standards.
• Measuring, checking and inspecting finished components.
• Using hand and power tools safely.
• Grinding, finishing and preparing welds where required.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
• Working to production targets and deadlines.
• Following all company Health & Safety procedures.
• Keeping the workshop and work area clean and organised.
