Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in East Grinstead is seeking a Casual Barperson to join The 1608 Cocktail Bar team. You will assist full-time bartenders during busy periods, serving food and drinks to hotel guests, spa visitors and residents, with shifts across daytime, evenings and weekends.

You'll balance tills, take orders, prepare cocktails and beverages, keep the bar well presented, and work with the restaurant for pre-dinner drinks.

Qualifications

• Smart appearance is not a requirement on its own but a professional presentation is expected.
• Experience with beverages and bartending is required or preferred.
• Good communication with guests and team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the Bar is stocked for each service period.
• Ensuring the Bar and Lounge are well presented for guests.
• Taking orders and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails.
• Tray service of drinks and light bites in the bar lounge.
• Liaising with the Restaurant for pre-dinner drinks and reservations.
• Balancing the till and processing payments.
