This is a key role on the shop floor, responsible for preparing and treating components using advanced coatings techniques. You’ll follow precise instructions to ensure high-quality finishes are achieved, while maintaining equipment, monitoring quality, and supporting a culture of safety and accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing parts in line with detailed engineering instructions and process plans
  • Operating specialised machinery to apply surface treatments to complex components
  • Conducting inspections before and after treatment to verify quality and accuracy
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and reporting equipment issues
  • Completing all necessary production and quality documentation
  • Monitoring process controls and making adjustments when needed
  • Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to team goals
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised work area

What we’re looking for:

  • An engineering or technical background, ideally as a craftsperson or machinist
  • Comfortable operating semi-automated machinery in a production setting
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experienced in using measurement tools and inspection techniques
  • Familiar with working under a quality and safety management system
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering consistent, high-quality results
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work to targets and minimal supervision

This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking business where your technical skills and attention to detail will directly impact quality and customer satisfaction. You’ll work with skilled engineers and benefit from training and development in a highly specialised area of manufacturing.
