Job summary

Leaders in Care is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker at Level 2 or Level 3 on the South Coast. You will manage varied caseloads, deliver high-quality assessments and care plans, and work with families, carers and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children in care.

We welcome experienced social workers with registration in good standing and a willingness to travel across the local area. Flexible working and strong supervision are offered.

Qualifications

• Significant frontline safeguarding experience in children’s services.
• Experience managing complex children’s casework with families.
• Strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Confidence in conflict resolution and professional challenge.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
• For Level 3, mentoring colleagues or students is desirable.
• Registration with Social Work England and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of children and young people in care.
• Complete high-quality assessments, care and permanency plans.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and referrals.
• Collaborate with families, carers and multi-agency partners.
• Promote stability, safety and positive outcomes for children.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and students at Level 3.
• Contribute to a reflective, learning-focused team.
