A local government council in England is seeking an Associate Project Manager Apprentice to support coastal defence projects. You will gain hands-on experience in project management while contributing to environmental sustainability. The role requires GCSE certificates in Maths and English, along with strong organizational and communication skills. A competitive salary and benefits package is offered.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy multi-disciplinary coastal engineering team, managing coastal flood and erosion risk on the south coast. You’ll develop your skills through an accredited apprenticeship alongside your role.
Coastal Partners provides a Coastal Risk Management Service to Havant Borough Council, Portsmouth City Council, Gosport Borough Council, Fareham Borough Council and Chichester District Council, reducing risks to people and the developed and natural environment from flooding and coastal erosion. The area includes three major harbours of environmental importance and over 246 km of coastline. Our mission is to design and construct new coastal defences, research critical issues such as flooding and erosion, and maintain existing sea defences. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
As an Associate Project Manager Apprentice, you will work within an engineering technician role that supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of coastal defence projects. Your work will contribute to safeguarding communities and enhancing the natural environment. This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to develop skills in engineering and project management with tangible impact on coastal resilience and sustainability.
