Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in coachbuilding or vehicle body repair (PSV/HGV preferred).
  • Qualified to Level 3 in PSV or HGV Body Repair.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic.

Looking for a skilled hands-on role where you can take real pride in your work — and be part of a team that keeps your community moving?

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Coachbuilder to join our friendly and dedicated team at our Ayrdepot. You’ll help maintain and repair our fleet to the highest safety and presentation standards, playing a vital role in getting thousands of people where they need to be every day.

Whether you're prepping vehicles for repaint, repairing bodywork, or installing new panels and fittings, this is your chance to make a real impact and develop your career in a supportive environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing vehicles for repaint and refinishing damaged paintwork
  • Observing and reporting body or structural defects
  • Carrying out modifications and repairs to the vehicle structure and body fittings
  • Cutting, forming, and fitting sheet metal, ply, fibreglass and other materials
  • Fitting panels, windows, doors, mouldings and accessories
  • Using welding equipment for structural repairs
  • Ensuring all work meets health & safety and DVSA standards

What we’re looking for:

  • A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience in coachbuilding or vehicle body repair (PSV/HGV preferred)
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Qualified to Level 3 in PSV or HGV Body Repair, either City & Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3, or
  • BTEC equivalent
