Job description

Job Opportunity: Coachbuilder

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for experienced coachbuilders to join a well-established vehicle conversions business experiencing exciting growth.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • £38,490 OTE, up to £45,000 with overtime (time and a half) and quarterly bonus
  • Hours: 39 hours per week plus unlimited overtime at time and a half
  • Additional benefits include pension, free parking, games room, and ongoing training

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in bespoke, blue light coachbuilding or vehicle fitting
  • Background in automotive repair or conversions, working on blue light and welfare vehicles
  • Tasks include stripping and fitting various commercial vehicles, plastic welding for internal cages or cells, and fitting seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, and interior trim
  • Experience with racking systems, flooring, load locks, silicone fastening, kitchens, toilets, sanitizing stations, seating, wiring, and more
  • Proficient in using hand tools, reading engineering drawings, and maintaining high standards

Minimum Experience:

  • Vehicle conversions or extensive vehicle build experience
  • Automotive environment experience
  • Plastic welding skills
  • Knowledge of H&S responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, targeted environment following standards such as Kitemark BS10125
