About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Coach Builder to join our team in Newcastle to repair and restore a fleet of buses following accidents. This role offers the chance to work in a modern facility where your skills will be crucial in maintaining vehicle safety, appearance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and rebuild damaged bus bodies following accidents
  • Assess and replace damaged panels, frameworks, and structural components
  • Use welding, panel beating, and other coach building techniques to restore vehicles to a high standard
  • Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Coach Builder, preferably with bus or commercial vehicle experience
  • Skilled in welding, metalwork, panel beating, and structural repairs
  • Ability to assess damage and plan effective repair work
