Get to Know This Role

The Co-Packing Production Operator operates, cleans, inspects, lubricates, changes over, and performs minor maintenance on co-pack equipment. Reporting to the Co-Pack Operations Manager, this role focuses on meeting production demands while maintaining safety and quality standards, including supporting the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System. All duties will adhere to safety, GMP, and food safety policies.

Responsibilities

  1. Operate co-pack equipment and digital can printing lines according to SOPs, documenting as required.
  2. Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and assist maintenance staff.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of production areas to ensure sanitation standards.
  4. Operate forklifts and other equipment for material handling.
  5. Conduct quality control checks.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members regarding packaging and printing processes.
  7. Handle and stage materials following food safety protocols and SOPs.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a consumer-packaged goods manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proactive with a willingness to learn and take ownership.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Attention to detail and quality consciousness.
  • Forklift certification preferred upon hire; required within 180 days.
