OakNorth in London seeks a Co-Head of Credit Risk – Real Estate to lead real estate credit across our lending platforms and shape portfolio risk as we grow internationally. You will sanction complex CRE transactions, collaborate with Debt Finance Originators, and drive independent credit judgement through Credit Risk Committee leadership.

You will guide deal structures, leverage, and downside risk while building a strong Real Estate Credit Risk team.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience underwriting and sanctioning complex commercial real estate transactions.
• Experience on senior Credit Risk Committees and the confidence to challenge senior Lending colleagues.
• Ability to lead and develop credit teams.
• Experience in UK or across more than one lending market would be an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Shape real estate credit across OakNorth, balancing growth opportunities with prudent risk.
• Make and sanction decisions on new transactions and material credit matters within delegated authority.
• Lead Credit Risk Committee participation and drive independent credit judgement across UK real estate decisions.
• Build and lead Real Estate Credit Risk teams and develop future leaders.
• Use AI and data to improve credit work, automating tasks and surfacing risk earlier.
