CNC Turning Technician

North Nottinghamshire

Circa 18.50 per hour shift premium

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turning Technician to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottinghamshire working on a permanent basis .

Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position candidates may be subject to requiring security clearances therefore our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.

  • Rotating shifts - 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm

Responsibilities
  • Setting and operating multi-axis CNC Turning Twin Spindle Twin Turret machines using Fanuc and / or Mazak controls
  • Working from engineering drawings to create complex components for the Aerospace industry
  • Perform stage and final inspection on machined parts
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience setting and operating CNC Turning machines - specifically Twin Turret Twin Spindle Mori Seiki machines
  • Able to program using Mazak and / or Fanuc controls
  • Previously worked on multi-axis machines - 4 & / or 5-axis
  • Competence using manual measuring equipment such as; verniers micrometers calipers
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Previous experience machining high profile / complex machined components supplied into either the Aerospace Motorsport Nuclear Oil & Gas Defence Medical or Petrochemical industries.
