CNC Centre Lathe Turner

Location: Sheffield
Salary: Competitive, plus overtime opportunities
Job Type: 12 weeks temp - perm

Metalis is currently recruiting for a CNC Centre Lathe Turner on behalf of our client in Sheffield.

The company has received significant investment and will soon be adding new machinery to its site, offering an exciting opportunity to join a growing business.

About the Role:

The company specialises in machining large, heavy-sector components, so experience working with long-length products will be essential. The role involves operating CNC centre lathes with a turning capability of up to 12 metres.

Flexible shift patterns are available, with options including:

1. 06:00am - 14:00pm
2. 07:30am - 16:00pm
3. 14:00pm - 22:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operating large CNC centre lathes to machine components to precise specifications.
2. Working with long-length components, ensuring accuracy and quality.
3. Using overhead cranes to safely manoeuvre large materials.
4. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work area in line with health & safety regulations.
