Job summary

Optical Precision in Ickenham is seeking an experienced CNC Turner, Setter and Operator to work on Fanuc controlled lathes. You will edit programs at the machine and fabricate high-precision one-off and small-batch components from aerospace and general engineering materials.

The role requires setting and operating Doosan or Haas lathes with Fanuc controls, reading drawings, and delivering components to tight tolerances in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC lathes, ideally Doosan or Haas with Fanuc controls.
• Experience in high-precision manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

The Role of CNC Turner, Setter, Operator - Fanuc

The company are looking for an experienced CNC Turner, setter, operator, working on Fanuc controls to join their team. The right candidate will be editing programs at the machine working to engineering drawings to provide high precision one off and small batch work components.

Duties of CNC Turner, Setter, Operator - Fanuc

• Set and operate CNC Doosan or Haas Lathes using Fanuc controls
• Machine to tight tolerances
• One off's and small batch work
• Produce components from various aerospace & general engineering and exotic materials

Requirements of CNC Turner, Setter, Operator - Fanuc

• Must have experience setting and operating CNC Lathes, ideally, Doosan or Haas Lathes using Fanuc controls., however training can be given
• Previous experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
