Job summary

Optima UK Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to program, set and operate lathes on precision, small-batch components in the Coventry area. You will own the machining process from programming to inspection, working with Edgecam and FANUC controls.

The role offers a Monday–Friday days, a competitive salary dependent on experience, and opportunities to develop programming and machining skills within a friendly engineering environment.

Qualifications

Proven CNC turning, programming, setting and operating experience.
Edgecam experience is essential.
FANUC controls experience is essential.
Experience with small-batch, high-precision machining.

Responsibilities

Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
Creating and modifying programmes online and offline.
Using Edgecam for offline programming.
Working with FANUC controls.
Selecting tooling, workholding and cutting parameters.
Proving out programmes and setting datums and offsets.
Reading engineering drawings and machining complex components to tight tolerances.
Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections.
Troubleshooting machining issues and ensuring components are produced right first time.
