Based in Liverpool, our client is an ISO 9001:2015 SME Subcontract Engineering Company based on Merseyside. Originally established in 1931 to support the local automotive, dock and shipping companies. Since then, they have gone on to become a first-choice supplier to blue chip companies from within the Oil, Gas, Fluid & Power Generation Sectors, specialising in the manufacture and supply of precision valve and pump components.
The role of CNC Programmer, setter operator will include the following duties:
- Programming, Setting & Operating 2 axis Lathes, using Fanuc Controls
- Be able to use basic inspection equipment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience of programming, setting and operating Turning Machines with Fanuc controls.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ideally having an engineering apprenticeship, however, experience is the overriding factor.
- Overtime/additional hours may be required, depending on the workload of the business.
- Be able to work well on their own as well as part of a team.
- Producing high-quality work to fine tolerances.
- Professional and self-motivated attitude.
- Good organisational & time management skills.
Preferred experience but not essential requirements:
- Doosan Lathes (8” to 30” Chuck sizes) (1 – 3.2m Lengths)
- Manual Guide Programming
- One CNC Programming Software
- C & Y axis programming / machining
- Valve and pump components
- Oil, Gas, Fluid and Power generation industry sectors
- Office 365 / ERP Systems
