Position: CNC Turner - Skilled Machinist

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30 / Friday: 07:30 - 12:30

Overview:

We are working with a well-established engineering business seeking a skilled CNC Turner. This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist to join a professional team in a modern, clean, and well-organized facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines.
• Working with Mazatrol, Siemens, and G-code control systems.
• Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Setting tools, understanding cutting speeds and feeds, and performing boring, drilling, and threading operations.
• Ensuring high accuracy and consistency while working to tight tolerances.
• Using inspection and measurement equipment such as verniers, bore gauges, and micrometers.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming.
• Strong background in CNC turning operations.
• Experience with CAD/CAM systems is preferred.
• Motivated, good communicator, and team player.
• Proactive, flexible, and able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to learn and improve continuously.
