Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join its precision engineering team in Medway, Kent. This permanent role focuses on programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce bespoke components to tight tolerances.

You will contribute to a busy machine shop, work Monday to Friday, 40 hours with overtime available, and enjoy a stable opportunity with a growing employer across specialist industries.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual lathes and CNC machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Proven track record in precision/low-volume machining environments.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision components for UK and international customers.
• Program, set and operate CNC turning machines per specifications and production schedules.
• Interpret complex drawings and specifications to ensure fit, form and tolerance.
• Ensure programmes/setups are completed within allocated time frames.
• Carry out first-off inspections to confirm accuracy before full production runs.
• Support new project introductions into manufacturing.
• Machine materials to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
• Troubleshoot machining issues with the team.
• Assist other departments as required and undertake additional duties.
