Job summary

Proman is recruiting a skilled CNC Turner (Fanuc) for its Skelmersdale facility. The role focuses on programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls, reading drawings and maintaining tight tolerances in a modern manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have time-served experience, strong measurement skills and a commitment to quality, with overtime opportunities and a stable day shift to support long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Time-served CNC Turner with engineering qualification, apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3.
• Strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Proven knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Minimum three years' experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to work from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Produce components to tight tolerances and customer requirements.
• Create, edit and prove out CNC programs.
• Generate offline programs using CAD/CAM software where required.
