Job description

CNC Turner

Location: Near Southend-on-Sea
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:45am – 4:30pm (37 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established aerospace engineering business based near Southend-on-Sea. This is a hands-on role working on complex, low-batch components in a clean, modern workshop. If you're confident using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls and want a stable role in a forward-thinking company, this could be the ideal next step.

CNC Turner Benefits

CNC Turner Responsibilities

  • Set and operate fixed head or sliding head CNC turning machines

  • Use Fanuc and Seiki controls to produce precision aerospace parts

  • Work across various materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and Inconel

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to set tooling and offsets

  • Perform self-inspection using handheld gauges

  • Occasionally work with twin turret or twin spindle machines (training can be provided)

CNC Turner Profile

  • Proven CNC turning and setting experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Confident using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls

  • Ability to read technical drawings and work to tight aerospace tolerances

  • Practical mindset with attention to detail

  • Bar feed or twin spindle experience would be a bonus

  • Own transport preferred due to location
