Qualifications

  • Previous experience surrounding programming, setting and/or operating CNC turning machinery (essential).

  • The Role:

  • Programming, setting and operating Miyano multi-pallet and twin-spindle turning machinery, using Fanuc controls, to produce components for the aerospace industry.
  • Carry out the production of one-offs and small batches of components, working to extremely tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to produce components using a variety of material.
  • Produce precise components, working with an array of materials including metals and plastics.
  • Carry out the TPM process for daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance. Ensuring all records are updated, all actions are recorded and reported.
  • The Requirements:

  • Previous experience surrounding programming, setting and/or operating CNC turning machinery (essential)
  • Strong understanding of NC programs with the ability to read and interpret details engineering drawings and schematics (essential)
  • Proven ability to program and set machinery using Fanuc controls (essential)
  • Previous experience working with Miyano machinery (advantageous)
  • Apprentice Trained with relevant qualifications eg NVQ, HND, HNC etc (advantageous)
  • High attention to detail and able to work to tight tolerances
