Position Details

Due to an impending retirement, we are seeking a skilled CNC Turner and Programmer to join our team. The role involves:

  • Manufacturing high-quality components from a range of exotic materials.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, STEP files, and technical diagrams.
  • Setting and operating 2- and 3-axis CNC Lathes.
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
  • Liaising with managers and shop floor staff to address technical issues or risks.
  • Driving technology and manufacturing techniques.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Time-served machinist, preferred but not essential; City and Guilds in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Manual Turning skills desirable.
  • CAD/CAM experience preferred; training available.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to workload and business needs.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Experience with Fanuc and/or XYZ controllers.
