Job summary

A respected engineering company in Malvern is seeking an experienced CNC Turner. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of CNC setting and operating experience, particularly with Fanuc controls. Responsibilities include setting and operating CNC Lathe Machines and ensuring high-quality production within specifications. Candidates are encouraged to apply with their current CV. Job description

CNC Turner setter Operator (Aerospace)
Hours: 37hr week (12.30pm finish on Fridays)
Salary: £15.50 - £17.00 per hour
Location: Malvern

CNC Turner required for a well established Engineering company based in Malvern.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of CNC setting & operating experience working on machines running Fanuc.

The role:


To set, operate CNC Turning machines to produce component parts to drawing and process requirements.

The CNC Turner will assist in the manufacturing of parts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved; and high quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.

Responsibilities:

Setting and Operating CNC Lathe Machines using Fanuc controls
Ability to work to high standards on tight tolerances
Adhering to quality standards and checking work using a variety of different instruments
Mainly small batch work using a variety of different materials
You may be required to work alternative shifts / hours
You may be required to perform any other reasonable duties/specific projects from time to time and as directed by management.

Essential Skills:

Experience using CNC Machines with Fanuc controls
Good working knowledge of component dimensions using various inspection equipment - including but not limited to Micrometres, Verniers and Plug Gauges.
Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and Engineering drawings is essential.

Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by internal and external customer specifications.

Desirable experience

Programming experience
Milling Experience is an advantage
Previous aerospace experience.
