Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in CNC machining, programming, or setting CNC lathes.

• Experience turning stainless steel and exotics to tight tolerances.

An established specialist, subcontract manufacturer of precision machined components to various industry sectors, certified to AS9100 and ISO9001 standards with capabilities in CNC Milling, CNC Turning, EDM and Subcontract Inspection are experiencing considerable growth and expansion.

Job Profile
Due to this growth, expansion, and re-investment into the most modern, state of the art CNC Machine Tools and equipment, there are now requirements for an experienced CNC Machinists for their Turning department with the opportunity to progress into Team Leadership.
As the successful CNC Turner, you will be self-motivated, have a high attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly to members of the team, producing high-end CNC Turned parts and components.
You must also have at least 3 years’ experience in CNC Machining and be competent at either programmingOR setting CNC lathes.


Duties:

• Proving Out, Setting and Operating CNC Lathes.
• Self-management of workload to work as efficiently as possible.
• Responsible for machine OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), ensuring machines and jobs are ready with all the required information.
• Making sure Tools, Material and Programs are in place when required to reduce Setting times.
• Making sure the CNC Machine Shop is tidy and organised.
• Liaising directly with Inspection regarding part quality.

Skills & Experience:

• 3 years+ previous experience Programming ORSetting and Operating CNC Lathes.
• Background producing complex,precisionmachined components for Motorsport, Aerospace or similar industries requiring high standards would be ideal.
• Experience of turning exotics andStainless to tight tolerances.
• Good time keeping.
• Understanding engineering drawings.
• Carrying out first off inspection checks.
• Acute attention to detail.
• ExperiencewithHyperMILL (Turning) would be an advantage but not essential.

Hours of Work:

• 40hrs per week.
• 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
• Overtime is available and regular - 5 to 10hrs+ per week, paid at x1.5hrs.
