Job summary

A long-established manufacturing company in Crewe is seeking a skilled CNC Turner. Responsibilities include setting up and programming CNC machines, machining components as per technical drawings, and performing maintenance checks. Qualifications

Job description

We re looking for a CNC Turner to join long-established and respected manufacturing business at their site based in Crewe.

What s on offer?

  • GBP16.00 - GBP17.50 per hour
  • Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • 12.45pm finish on a Friday
  • Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
  • 30 days holiday (including bank holidays)

What will you be doing as a CNC Turner?

  • Setting up, operating and programming CNC turning machines
  • Working on single and twin turret Hyundai lathes
  • Machining components to technical drawings and specifications
  • Manufacturing components from engineering drawings
  • Performing self-inspection of your own work using Micrometres
  • Conducting preventative and general maintenance checks
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation at all times

What do you need?

  • Previous experience with setting/programming CNC machinery
  • Experience programming on Fanuc
  • Time served as an apprentice
  • Carbide/ceramic experience/soft materials experience (desirable)
  • CNC or manual grinding experience (desirable)
