Job Opportunity: CNC Turner

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner to join our client’s thriving team. This role is perfect for someone who excels in a high-quality, deadline-driven environment with a strong background in CNC machining.

What’s on Offer?
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Hailsham

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC lathes to produce components according to precise specifications
  • Interpret engineering drawings and machine programs (ISO and conversational)
  • Conduct first-off inspections to ensure product quality
  • Adjust offsets and tool coordinates to maintain accuracy
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Rotate between machines as needed to support production
  • Ensure timely delivery and uphold high standards throughout manufacturing
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Proven experience with CNC machinery
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Familiarity with various machine control systems
  • Ability to anticipate and prevent machining issues
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work to deadlines without compromising standards
  • IT skills, including basic knowledge of Windows and MS Office
  • Completion of a relevant craft apprenticeship and at least 5 years’ machining experience
  • Further education or certification in engineering or manufacturing
