Job Overview
My client is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at operating XYZ Prototrak CNC lathes to produce precision components. You will need to be able to interpret technical drawings and have a keen eye for detail.

Duties

• Operate XYZ CNC Lathe to machine components according to specifications.
• Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials from machines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to precisely measure components.
• Conduct basic maths calculations for measurements and adjustments during the machining process.
• Manage tooling requirements, ensuring tools are maintained and replaced as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating manual & CNC machinery.
• Previous experience using XYZ Prototrak CNC lathes is preferable.
• Strong understanding of tooling techniques and materials handling practices.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when required.
• Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
