Job summary

Jrl-Group near Newark is seeking an experienced CNC Team Leader to join our façade and cladding manufacturing team. You will operate CNC machining centres and saws, preparing steel profiles from drawings and ensuring quality within budget and schedule.

This permanent role offers full PPE, on-site parking, and a pathway to lead and improve workflow with CNC programmers and fabricators.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating, setting and leading CNC machinery.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and verify CNC programs.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication or architectural cladding or similar manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Good understanding of quality standards, inspection methods and machine maintenance.
• Natural team leader with ability to guide, support and motivate colleagues.
• Reliability, safety-consciousness, and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across the production team.

Responsibilities

• Produce machined steel profiles and components accurately from engineering drawings.
• Set up, edit and operate CNC machinery including machining centres and saws.
• Read, understand, verify and adjust CNC programming to ensure conformity and quality.
• Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance; record machine accuracy and performance metrics.
• Complete all quality documentation and maintain full traceability.
• Plan and prioritise work to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Work closely with CNC programmers and fabricators to resolve issues and improve workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area; lead by example on housekeeping and standards.
• Encourage and support team members to follow procedures and quality requirements.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
