CNC Sliding Head

Hours: 6am to 2pm / Monday to Friday

Location: Kingswinford

Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 per annum

We’re currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a skilled precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC Star Sliding Head machines to produce high-quality components used in critical applications.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Programming, setting, and operating CNC Sliding Head (Star machines with Fanuc controls)
2. Producing high-integrity components to tight tolerances
3. Working from technical drawings, ensuring quality and accuracy throughout
4. Conducting first-off and in-process inspections using appropriate measuring equipment
5. Performing routine machine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and safe
6. Collaborating with the production and quality teams to meet deadlines and optimise output

What we’re looking for:

1. Proven experience in a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator role (ideally in a high-integrity or precision environment)
2. Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc)
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
4. Good understanding of inspection and measurement techniques
5. Positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
