Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment is seeking a CNC Site Based Service Engineer for on-site work in the North East (Newcastle / Sunderland). The role involves commissioning 5-axis CNC machines (Hermle) with Siemens 840D controls, PPMs, and on-site fault-finding, delivering high-quality service to top UK manufacturers.

Ideal candidates have strong machine tool maintenance background, experience with 5-axis Hermle machines, and are comfortable collaborating with principal engineers on

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens 840D SolutionLine/Siemens 840D PowerLine.
• Experience with Fanuc controls.
• Heidenhain- iTNC530, TNC640 or TNC7 would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of CNC machine tools.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Breakdown and fault-finding support both mechanically and electronically.
• Working alongside customers and principal engineers during installations.
• Providing a professional, high-quality service to customers.

CNC Site based Service Engineer

£42,000 - £44,000 + Overtime + Company Car + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Site Based Service Engineer to join a leading machine tool business supporting a high-end OEM customer with their machinery on site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong machine tool maintenance or service background who is confident working with complex, multi-axis CNC equipment and wants to represent a premium manufacturer in front of some of the UK's leading engineering companies.

The Role

You will primarily be working on 5-axis CNC machine tools, predominantly Hermle machines equipped with Siemens 840D / 840D controls.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installation and commissioning of CNC machine tools
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Breakdown and fault-finding support both mechanically and electronically
