Job summary

Cosworth Group Holdings Limited in Northampton is seeking a CNC Setter Operator (Turn/Mill) to manufacture crankshafts and camshafts for high-performance automotive and aerospace customers. You will set up and run multiple CNC machines, read and edit NC programs, and perform in-process quality checks.

The role requires proficiency with Fanuc controls, experience with multi-axis machines, and familiarity with SAP/Seiki DNC systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information and drawings.
• Experience using Multi Axis Mill/Turn machines.
• Experience using Milling Machines & Lathes.
• Experience with Fanuc Controls.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) & DNC Software (Seiki).
• Basic numerical and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture crankshafts and camshafts.
• Read and edit NC programs to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct quality control checks using measurement tools.
• Inspect/maintain machinery, tooling, and equipment.
• Transfer information between shifts and communicate with Team Leader/Shift Leader.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.
