Job summary

Camlin Group in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator for its production machine shop. You will set up and operate Haas CNC lathes to produce precision components in small, medium and large batches, on a day shift with early finish on Fridays.

The ideal candidate has an apprenticeship or equivalent CNC turning experience, hands-on work with Haas lathes, and ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship (Or equivalent experience) in CNC Turning.
• Experience of Haas CNC Lathes with live tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with a wide range of materials.
• Strong health and safety awareness in a machine shop.
• Team player; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

CNC Setter / Lathe Operator

Reporting to: Machine Shop Leader

WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY

An exciting opportunity currently exists for a talented CNC Lathe Setter/ Operator within the production machine shop facility of Camlin Technologies, which is the R&D, Engineering and Operations centre for the Camlin Group.

For the position of Setter / Operator you should have proven experience in a CNC Machine Shop environment and knowledge of CNC Lathes, preferably with Haas Fanuc controls. You will be responsible for setting & operating Haas CNC machines for the production of small, medium & large batches of precision components.

Day Shift - Monday to Friday Hours with an early finish on Fridays

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setting up tools & machines for production
• Carry out machining of components
• Carry out first-off & batch inspection to ensure quality of components
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy
• Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required by your supervisor

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Apprenticeship (Or equivalent experience) in CNC Turning
• Experience of Haas CNC Lathes with live toolingAbility to use a wide range of measuring equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in working with a wide range of materials
• A strong awareness of health and safety considerations within a machine shop environment
• Be a good team player capable of delivering results under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Ability to work on your own initiative with the minimum of supervision
