Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Limited in Plymouth is partnering with a leading high-precision manufacturing business to recruit a CNC Setter/Operator for a 2-shift pattern. The role offers £32,000 - £34,000 per year with strong training and progression opportunities.

You will set and/or operate CNC machines, read engineering drawings, perform first-off inspections, and work with modern equipment and advanced machining techniques within a safe, well‑structured environment.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of machining processes in a precision engineering environment.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Formal engineering qualification is advantageous but experience also values.

Responsibilities

• Setting and/or operating CNC machines
• Producing components to engineering specifications
• Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process checks
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges
• Working in line with health and safety procedures
